1. Is my project eligible for the online permitting process?

At this time, only projects in our "One-Stop" category can be applied for or issued online. 

Examples of "One-Stop" permits are:

• Electrical
• Mechanical
• Plumbing
• Minor building projects like re-roofs, window replacements, sheds (200sf or under), fences, siding, etc.

Essentially, any project we do NOT need plans to review would be online-eligible. 

2. How do I apply online?

Visit https://longview_wa.permittrax.com/Citizen and create an account to start applying for permits online. 

3. Can I search for existing permits online?

Yes!

There are currently two places where we keep permit records online. 

The first, which houses our more-recent permits is our online permit system. You can see active projects on the homepage map, and search by address (or permit number) via the search function. 

The second place is our online repository for archived documents. Archived documents go back to the 1920's in some cases, and include many scanned permits, code enforcement, and other documents which can help with property research and permit history.

4. How do I use your online permit system?

5. Can I email my submittals?

Generally we do not accept plans or submittals via email, except in cases where we are currently reviewing an ongoing project and specifically request a submittal be emailed to us.
