As the weather improves through spring and into summer, the Longview Police Department will be increasing its patrols to Radakovich Rock Pit to ensure the area is clear of trespassers.
In order to preserve public safety and the rights of private property owners, the Longview Police Department is providing this public safety message to citizens regarding the trespassing occurring at the Radakovich Rock Pit (4710 Mount Solo Road.)
The property consists of unstable terrain, steep cliffs and dangerous swimming conditions. The site also creates a hazard to both pedestrians crossing Mount Solo Road and vehicles. Additionally, the rock pit is private property and off-limits to the public.
Vehicles parked in the area are subject to tow and violators trespassing on the property will be issued a criminal citation and/or booked into the Cowlitz County Jail under RCW 9A.52.080 Trespass 2nd degree.
