Parking changes coming to downtown Longview

The Longview Downtown Advisory Committee has proposed, and City Council has approved the following parking changes for the downtown area. Effective September 1, 2022, all three hour on-street parking zones will be reduced to two hours. Additionally, the City will no longer issue warnings without tickets for over-time parking. The intent is to ensure ample on street customer parking for downtown business and encourage those who park regularly for more extended periods to utilize our permitted parking lots.

Furthermore, parking lot permits will no longer be sold at the Longview Police Department.
Parking lot permits will now be available through the Community and Economic
Development Department at City Hall (1525 Broadway Street). These parking permits are
available for purchase on a quarterly basis, and an online application process for these parking permits will be available early next year.
