Pacific Way Trail Pedestrian Crossing at 38th Ave and 42nd Ave Construction Start

The City of Longview contracted with Halme Excavating, Inc. from Battle Ground to construct improvements for the Pacific Way trail pedestrian crossing at 38th Avenue and 42nd Avenue. The work includes installation of Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon (RRFB), ADA ramps, driveway approaches, signs and striping.

The contractor is scheduled to start construction on Monday, May 3, 2021 with project completion scheduled for May 31, 2021. Contractor work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Motorists are advised that during this time, shoulder closure and lane closures on 38th Avenue and 42nd Avenue should be anticipated.

Pedestrian are advised that the trail access may be restricted during this time, with the trail between 38th Avenue to 42nd Avenue closed from May 10 to May 17, 2021.

This project is funded by the 2019-2021 pedestrian and bicycle safety program state funding.
