Longview Public Library Offering Seed Checkouts by Mail

In this time of social distancing and staying home, the Longview Public Library is pleased to announce mail order seed library checkouts. This service is brought to you by the Friends of the Longview Public Library and is available to everyone with a Longview Public Library card. If you are eligible for a card but don’t already have one, we are also offering e-registration! Visit our online catalog and click “log in” in the upper right corner to register.

To order seeds, fill out the form at http://www.longviewlibrary.org/seedlibrary.php. Select up to ten packets per library card, along with five alternate choices. One packet per variety. Each member of a household with a card may check out ten packets and orders can be mailed together to save on mailing costs. This difficult moment makes the mission of the LPL Seed Library program all the clearer. We are excited to get seeds into your hands so you can get them in the ground. We hope growing them brings you a measure of peace and some good food!"
