Distance Learning Day Camp Information

The Parks & Recreation Department is providing the Distance Learning Day Camp to support families during the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Additional scholarships may be available for qualified participants.

We are utilizing two facilities, the Elks Building at 2121 Kessler Blvd and the Woman’s Club Building located 835 21st Ave (across the street from Elks).  CHECK IN/OUT AT ELKS BUILDING.

BREAKFAST/LUNCH: Breakfast and lunch are provided by the Longview School District meal program. If your child would like to bring lunch from home we have refrigeration available at all facilities.

THINGS TO BRING: Campers should wear tennis shoes every day and depending on weather, rain coats and/or boots may be necessary. Bring a water bottle with their name on the bottle and a healthy afternoon snack. We ask that personal items be left at home unless we specifically ask for them (on special occasions, etc.) Please NO Pokémon cards, digital devices, fidgets.  Baskets will be provided for each camper for their backpacks, paperwork, projects, etc.

For our childcare offerings, we will follow all requirements from the CDC and Cowlitz County Health Department. Children enrolled will not be on-site with a certificated teacher, but rather with a City of Longview Childcare staff member. Program staff will assist with coordinating access to live instruction throughout the day, but are not able to provide individual instruction to the child.

Our mission is to build a healthy community by providing high-quality recreation and park services for everyone!
