Longview City Council recommends no salary increases to the Longview Citizen's Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials

At its April meeting, the Longview Citizen's Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials commission acknowledged that more and more time has been devoted to City business this past year, but based on the Longview City Council’s specific request to not consider any increases this year, the commission voted for no increases for 2009.

The Longview Citizen's Commission on Salaries of Elected Officials is charged with studying the relationship of salaries to the duties of members of the City Council and Mayor, and fixing the salaries for each respective position.  The commission meets annually, and members serve four-year terms.
