FREE Legal Resources Public Meet and Greet

Did you know April 2nd through the 8th is Crime Victim Awareness Month? Crime Victims Advocacy Program and Northwest Justice Project will be hosting a public meet and greet at the Longview Public Library to introduce you to free legal resources that are available in our community April 5th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
CVAP serves Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties. They help all victims of crime, not just those reported to the police. Their services are free and confidential. They can help with issues including, but not limited to: Id theft, fraud, assault, theft, robbery, property crimes, homicide, human trafficking, bullying, elder abuse, child abuse, arson and more. NJP is Washington’s publicly funded statewide legal aid program for low income persons and groups in Washington. Through its seventeen offices and CLEAR, Washington’s centralized intake, advice and referral hotline, NJP provides free legal information, advice, limited assistance, representation, community education, outreach and other community based advocacy. At the Meet and Greet April 5th, they will be letting the community know about what they do and have advocates available for questions. They will also be passing out information for people to take home about id theft, fraud, scams, and more.
