Accessible Transportation User Input meeting
Posted Date: 5/16/2018
RiverCities Transit, Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments (CWCOG), and the Accessible Transportation Coalition Initiative (ATCI) invite you to join them on Tuesday, June 12 for one of two Accessible Transportation User Input Meetings being held. The first meeting will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and the second will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Both meetings are at the McClelland Arts Center, 951 Delaware Street, Longview, WA. Please come and share your thoughts on the future of accessible transportation in Cowlitz County and surrounding areas. It’s your opportunity to provide input on the Coordinated Public Transportation—Human Service Transportation Plan (HSTP). Your input will help set priorities for funding opportunities to improve transportation services for people with disabilities, low income, youth, elderly, veterans, and rural residents who do not have the means to get to important destinations on their own.

The CWCOG is lead agency of the Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO) for the counties of Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Pacific, and Wahkiakum and is responsible for drafting the HSTP. The RTPO is in charge of the development of the Regional Transportation Plan and certifying that countywide planning policies and the transportation element of local comprehensive plans are consistent with it. The CWCOG also develops and maintains the six-year Regional Transportation Improvement Program.
