Inspection Program

The existing occupancy program incorporates annual engine company inspections of most commercial occupancies to ensure that they are in compliance with State adopted Building and Fire Codes.  

The fire marshal inspects high hazard commercial occupancies, buildings with a high life loss potential, and other target hazards.  

New business license applications for existing buildings are also reviewed and inspected prior to occupancy to ensure that they are in compliance with codes and local ordinances.  

When hazardous complaints and dangerous conditions are reported, they are investigated and abated as needed.
